Rino Personnel (Pty) Ltd 2010 Tertiary Scholarship Programme

Terms and Conditions

  • Rino Personnel (Pty) Ltd, hereafter referred to as “Rino”, is the Administrator of this 2010 Tertiary Scholarship Programme, hereafter referred to as “2010 Scholarship”.

  • English will be used as the only language for all correspondence and information during the 2010 Scholarship.

  • The 2010 Scholarship will cover only expenses relating to the cost of the course which the successful applicant is studying in 2010. No past or future tertiary expenses will be covered, unless otherwise specified by Rino.

  • The monies relating to the 2010 Scholarship will not be paid out to any individual (including the successful applicant), but will only be paid out to the relevant tertiary institution at which studies are conducted in 2010.

  • The tertiary expenses (relating to studies conducted in 2010), will only be paid provided that proof of registration and an outline of the costs for the relevant course, from the specific tertiary institution, are submitted to Rino. This will only need to be submitted once the applicant has been shortlisted for the Scholarship.

  • The 2010 Scholarship does not cover books, accommodation, stationary, living expenses, or any other expenses that the successful applicant may have as a result of his/her studies.

  • Both vocational and professional programmes are eligible.

  • The 2010 Scholarship is a South African initiative and studies conducted must be at a national higher education institution.

  • The 2010 Scholarships range in value and will be awarded based on the discretion of Rino. The scholarship is neither transferable nor exchangeable.

  • The amount awarded to the successful applicants will be determined at the sole discretion of Rino. The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. This amount will be based on the cost of the course (to be confirmed by the relevant tertiary institution) that the successful applicant is to study in 2010.

  • In the event of a dispute, the decision of the Administrator will be final and binding on all aspects of the 2010 Scholarship.

  • The applicant undertakes to provide all documentation requested by Rino during the application process for the 2010 Scholarship.

  • Application forms and instructions can be found on the Rino website at http://www.rino.co.za/Scholarship.aspx. All Application forms must be filled in and submitted electronically. Completed Application forms must be sent to student@rino.co.za.

  • No handwritten, faxed or physical forms will be accepted. No other documentation need to be submitted with this application – only the electronic application form.

  • Instructions on how to use and operate the Rino Scholarship Application form will be provided on the website.

  • Applicants who qualify for the Scholarship, will be invited to write the Rino Scholastic Aptitude Assessment for the 2010 Scholarship. This Assessment is mandatory for all applicants who wish to be considered for the Scholarship. The time, date and location of these Sessions will be corresponded to all applicants who qualify.

  • Assessment Sessions will be held according to Rino’s specifications, and no special arrangements or provisions will be made. Applicants who fail to attend these Sessions will be disqualified from the 2010 Scholarship, unless otherwise specified by Rino.

  • Evaluation Stage applicants are required to pay a once off, non-refundable fee of R180 (including VAT) for each Assessment Session. This amount is inclusive of VAT. All costs relating to, or obtained as a result of these Assessment Sessions, will be the sole responsibility of the applicant; and will not be covered by Rino. These include, but are not limited to, the costs for transportation, accommodation, parking, food and beverages, communication and documentation.

  • In the event that an applicant has paid and not attended the Assessment Session, the R180 will not be refunded as this will be considered as a cancelation fee to cover expenses already acquired.

  • At each Assessment Session, applicants will be required to present their Identity Document (ID) for identification purposes. Applicants will also need to bring their proof of payment (deposit slip or electronic transfer), as well as a copy of their Matric certificate or relevant Tertiary results.

  • All applicants who attended the Assessment Session will receive their results, regardless of whether they have been identified for final consideration for the 2010 Scholarship. These results will be emailed or posted.

  • Any applicant submitting fraudulent documents will be disqualified immediately; and banned from applying for any future scholarship programmes that Rino might offer.

  • Successful applicants during each stage of the 2010 Scholarship will be contacted using the cellphone number specified on their application. • Rino is managing the 2010 Scholarship on behalf of its client. In the event of the client withdrawing from the 2010 Scholarship, Rino will not be held liable for the awarding or payment of any scholarships.
