2010 Tertiary Scholarship

The 2010 Scholarship is now in the Evaluation Stage of the Programme which consists of the Scholastic Aptitude Assessment Session.

If you have not attended the first Assessment in January, Rino is providing one more opportunity for you to partake in the scholarship process. Please note, that if you have already attended an Assessment Session for the 2010 Scholarship, you do not need to attend the assessment session again. This second opportunity is simply for those candidates who were unable to attend the first Assessment Session due to unforseen circumstances.

The second 2010 Scholastic Aptitude Assessment Session will be held on 10 April 2010 at 09:00 at the Jabula Recreation Hall, corner of Anne and Athlone Avenues, in Sandringham, Johannesburg. If using taxi’s, go to the MTN Noord Taxi Rank and ask for the taxi’s going to Jewish areas. They are in line 2, next to the Sandton taxi’s.

If you are not contacted by Rino Personnel in any way, please consider your application as unsuccessful. Please check the email address as indicated in your application form, as instructions on the Assessment Session have been sent to this address.

The Evaluation Stage consists of a compulsory Scholastic Aptitude Assessment Session during which individual functionality and learnability will be evaluated. Evaluation Stage Applicants must attend this Session, or be disqualified from further stages in the Programme.

The current Scholarship is only for studies in 2010. If you are not studying in 2010 then you do not qualify for this Scholarship and do not need to attend the Assessment Session.

As per the Rino 2010 Tertiary Scholarship Terms and Conditions, Assessments will only be held in Gauteng. No Assessments will be held in other provinces, and applicants will be solely responsible for their own travel, accommodation, refreshment and all other related costs.

The Assessment Session carries a once-off, non-refundable cost of R180.00, which is inclusive of VAT. This amount covers the costs of the venue, stationary, the Assessment itself, personnel involved and the sending of the results afterwards. Bookings will only be made once payment of the R180.00 has been received. Failure to make payment will result in the applicant not being allowed to attend the Assessment Session.

When making payment, it is very important that you put your full ID number as a reference. For example:  8012300012012. This is needed so that we will be able to identify your payment.

1. proof of payment; as well as
2. your green barcoded ID book to the Assessment Session.

Applicants can allow approximately two hours per Session for registration and writing.
